This is a classification for suspended ceilings which, due to their installation method, the type of support profiles and the accessories used, ensure better behavior in the event of a high-magnitude earthquake. In designing seismic ceilings, Hunter Douglas has taken as its basis the IBC (International Building Code) standard, adopted by many countries such as the USA that have regions with seismic faults as active as Chile's.
